Grafman tamed

On Sunday 20th May several club members competed as individuals and relay teams in the Grafman middle distance 70.3 triathlon, Grafham water, St Neots Cambs. Club members also participated in the Aquabike category consisting of 1900m swim/91km bike.

Once again bringing home the silverware were the relay teams. 3rd place was Chiltern Tri relay team: Di Hewetson (swim) Heather Larson (bike) Jonny Stoddern (run) Finish time 5:03:51 Closely followed by in 5th place Graham Larson (swim) Fred Baxter (bike) Helen Ellis-Jones (run) Finish time 5:35:05 Great results from individuals in the full distance race, Nic Walton finishing in the top 30. Simon Halley breaking the 5 hour bench mark with a finish time 4.57, and Phil Walker getting an event PB. Great swim times from everyone that competed in the Aquabike from Emma B, Chris Gloster, Mark Mayfield, Paul M, Emma W and Holly. Plus some good age group rankings on top of that. It was a perfect setting coupled with beautiful weather surrounded by fab people! What more could you want from a club team event. Not to mention the No.1 team supporters consisting of: Chief Bell ringer the lovely Gill Ralphs! Campsite manager Dave Clyne!
